The MK25 EVO first stage uses SCUBAPRO’s famous air-balanced flow-through piston design in a chrome-plated brass body, and I run mine in a standard Yoke configuration. It pushes air instantly the moment you inhale, no matter how deep you go or how hard you are working underwater.
On the S620 Ti second stage, SCUBAPRO gives you an inhalation control knob and a VIVA (Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist) switch. Just like with my old Atomic B2, I always dial the knob down to the most restrictive setting before giant-striding off a boat deck to keep the second stage from free-flowing on impact. Half the time (possibly more), I completely forget to dial it back to the open dive position once I am down at depth. The cool thing? I do not treat my gear with delicate hands, and operational gear gets banged around on boat decks, staging trucks, and muddy shorelines.
