Fit, Comfort & Seal Performance
A dive mask is only as good as its seal, and the D-Mask excels here. The medium skirt fits my face exceptionally well, maintaining an airtight seal without unusual leaks or annoying pressure points, whether diving bare-headed or wearing a thick cold-water hood. The silicone skirt feels supple against the skin and causes zero irritation even during extended, multi-hour bottom times.
The strap system is equally well-thought-out. Once you get the hang of the adjustment buckles, setting or fine-tuning strap tension on the fly is smooth and secure, holding its position without slipping during entries.
My fiance had a bit of a leakage problem with this mask while wearing her hood. She is very small and uses the small skirt. Her hood squishes her cheeks too much and it causes a slight gap where the skirt is supposed to seal. We’re attributing this more to the hood distorting her face than to the mask. The mask seals just fine when the pressure is taken off her cheeks.

Durability & Field Resilience
I do not baby my dive gear, and the D-Mask is no exception. As soon as a dive ends, I toss this mask straight into my gear bag alongside my regulator and BCD without putting it in a protective hard case. I virtually never lay it out to dry, nor do I bother rinsing it with fresh water after dives.
